"11 <br />CITY ORDINANCE NO._'n_ <br />ORDINANCE WITH REFERENCE TO THE RE -ZONING OF THE PROPERTY <br />OWNED BY M. F. HIGHSMITH AND KATHLEEN C. HIGHSMITH, HIS WIFE <br />WHEREAS. the City Planning Commission of the City of <br />Batesville, Arkansas, pursuant to law, has filed its recommenda- <br />tions with the City Council recommending that the following acti <br />be taken with reference to the proposed re-classification of the <br />property involved herein: That the following described <br />property <br />owned by M. F. Highsmith and Kathleen C. Highsmith, his wife, <br />namely -. <br />A part of Block 24, Old Town Addition, and Block 11, <br />School Adddtion to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, <br />and a part of the East Half (E�) of the Northeast <br />Quarter (NEh) of Section 17, Township 13 North, Range <br />6 West, described thus: Beginning at the North line of <br />Water Street and the West line of Sixth Street, thence <br />South 54 degrees West along the North line of Water <br />Street 104 feet to the East line of the Luther Pickens <br />lot; thence North 36 degrees Wast along said line 160 <br />feet to and including a stone wall; thence North 54 <br />degrees East and with said wall 34 feet; thence North <br />36 degrees West 58 feet to a hedge; thence North 50 <br />degrees East and with said hedge 70 feet to the North- <br />west line of Sixth Street; thence South 36 degrees with <br />said line 225 feet to the point of beginning. <br />be classified as "Commercial" and that said proposed change would <br />be to the best interest to the City of Batesville; NOW, THEREFORE <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS: <br />SECTION I. That the City Council adopts a report and <br />recommendation of the City Planning Commission as above set forth <br />and that the lands hereinabove described be and are hereby re- <br />classified under the applicable zoning law and regulations to the <br />classification of "Commercial" property. <br />SECTION 2. That the City C*erk shall cause the officia <br />zoning map to note the changes as above set forth. <br />SECTION 3. That the property although now zoned as <br />"Commercial" be restricted to the use of office building. <br />SECTION 4.
