(b) One 1$0 x 350 foot tract of land more particularly described in the Surveyors Map furnished the Council by the Hous- ing Authority in it' -s Street Closing Petition filed on t, .� /`/� • [rdH,RI aS, the two above tracts of land constitute all the property abutting on either side of the following described pottion of Elsie Street in the City of Batesville, Ark.: "Bevtnning at the MI corner of Bll�. 51, Maxf field's Western >a d:ln. to the City of Batesville said. p6int being on the ast line o_l' Elsie °Stfieet and the South line of Carter Street for a point of beginning: Thence South 540 West along the south line of Carter St. extended 50 feet to the west line of Elsie St.; thence South 360 east along the west line of Elsie St. a distance of 300 feet; thence North 54° east a distance of 50 feet to a point on the East line of Elaj& St.; thence North 36° Wiest along the west line of Elsie St. 300 feet more or less to the point of beginning". dH REAS, Elsie St. was dedicated a number of years ago to the City of Batesville, the above described portion of the same has never been used or opened as a street and more than 5 years of such non use has passed. WH`7REAS, the Housing; Authority of the City of Batesville has filed it's petition with the City Council praying that the above described portion of Elsie Street be closed and has given notice of a hearing on said petition within the time and within the manner prescribed by law. i ;JHRE<`,S, a hearing has been held on said closing petition and no person has appeared to object to the granting of the aame and it appearing th-it it would not be detrimental to anyone and that it would be in the best interests of the City of Batesville and the Housing; Authority of the City of Batesville that said petition be granted.
