<br />Section 1: Definitions: for the .)ur�iose of t�iis Ordinance, the,
<br />following words and )hrases sl,)all have the following meaning:
<br />a. )ogs - Animals of rill ages, both mtale and female, which are
<br />members of the canine or dog, farily.
<br />b. Owner - ::'very -)arson, firm, -,)artn-�r.!1iip or oor ' poration,
<br />owning, kee�)ing or furl oring a dog within the coroorate
<br />,
<br />limits of the City.
<br />c. At Large - Any dog not confined to the 'r)romises of the
<br />owner or within a house or other building or enclosure or
<br />restrained on the oromises of the owner by a leash
<br />sufficiently stron# to orevent the dog from escai)ing and
<br />restricting the dog to the iremi3es, or not confined by
<br />leash but confined within an automobile when away from
<br />the promises of the owner.
<br />d. Vaccination - An injection of any vaccine for rabies
<br />a,), -)roved by the :'tate Veterinarian and administered by a
<br />licensed veterinarian or an agent of the Health Officer.
<br />e. Vicious 'Jog - A dog which ha.s, a disposition to bite hur'.1ans'
<br />and any dog which had bitten or attemoted to kite any
<br />person within six rrionths immediately -)list; however, the
<br />fact that a dog has bitten or ittem-3ted to 1.,ite some oerson
<br />when that person was tf.,!,ts#.ng the dog shall not constiti)te
<br />the dog a \tifious dog within the meaning of this Oddinance�
<br />f. License - A current license, cortificate or tag issued by
<br />the City or its designated re,,)reseatative.
<br />Lection 2: It shall hereafter be unlawful for any owner to
<br />keep within the coroorate limits of the .'ity any vicious dog unless
<br />s -.;id dog is muzzled or confined in a 3en or tied in such manner
<br />that it c-annot bite any licensees or invitees coming ii -)on the
<br />Premises.
<br />Section 3: It shall hereafter be unlawful for kany owner to
<br />ownt keeo or harbor a dor- within the cor-)orate limits of the City
<br />without having first obtained an annual dog license for all aois
<br />six months of age or over. U. -)on :)ayment of the license fee to the
<br />City t,'lerk, or "As designated reoresenthive, it shall be the duty
<br />of the Clerk to furnish the owner of the dog with a Irrietril tag.
<br />'very dog cov(:red by this Ordinance must have vear a collar
<br />of such ty-)e that the �,ity license tap,- may be firmly attached to
<br />the collar. The tag when issued shall at all times be securely
<br />attached to the dog's collar or harness, and failure to keep such
<br />tap on i. -he dop's collar or ha-ness shall be unlawful.

<br />`,ection 5: Any pf.!rson owning, )orsessing or kee,,)Ing a dog or
<br />do -s, whether V.-tecin.-ited or unvaccinated, licensed or unlicensed,
<br />shall confine such dog or dogs within an adequate fence or
<br />enclosure or within a lc)use, --trage or other :wilding or shall
<br />confine such (iog or by hadop a cin or leash affexed to the dog's
<br />,s
