ORDINAM:g NO.„ <br />AN ORDINANCE NEGULATIIaG THE SPEED OF VEHICLES <br />AND PRESCRIBING rBNALTr FOR VIOLATION `t 2iBOF. <br />BE IT ORVAINXD BY THE CITY GOUNCIL OF `ME CITY OF BATNBYILiE, <br />ARKANSAS <br />section 1. No, person shell drive a vehicle on any street or <br />highway within the City of Batesville at a speed greater than <br />is reasonable and prudent under the conditions than existing. <br />(here no special hazard exists the following speeds shell <br />be lawful, but any speed in excess of said limits shall be <br />prima facie evidence that the speed is not reasonable and prudent <br />and that it is unlawful: <br />-1-1f `r� <br />(a) by -fire miles per hour in any residential district; <br />(b) Twenty miles per hour in any business district; <br />( a) fl-t.t miles per hour in any public school none, such <br />a none being hereby defined as any street or highway <br />that immediately bounds any public school building. <br />Section E. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance <br />shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall <br />be fined in any sum not exceeding One hundred Vollars, or by In- <br />prisonment for not more than 10 days. <br />Section ,3.
