rig <br />IN THE COUNM COURT OF INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, ARKANSAS <br />ORDER <br />Whereas, the City of Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, <br />has passed Ordinance No. 648, which authorizes the cormuittment to <br />the Independence County jail of prisoners arrested by city law <br />enforcement officers that would normaly be committed to the City <br />of Batesville jail, and, <br />Whereas, the use of the Independence County jail both by the <br />county and by the city will result in better jail facilities and <br />management, now therefore, the Court being well and sufficiently <br />advised in the premises doth find: <br />That ,the court has jurisdiction of this matter and authority <br />to make this order. <br />That the City of Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, has <br />passed Ordinance No. 648, a certified copy of which is attached hereto <br />V <br />and made a part hereof as though set out herein, word for word, which <br />same ordinance as a part of this order is ordered spread upon the <br />records of the County Court of Independence County, Arkansas; that <br />under the tems of this ordinance the city shall pay to the County <br />Sheriff the sun of $1.50 per day for each and every city prisoners <br />who may be kept, feed or confined in the Independence County jail, <br />this sum payable monthly on bills rendered on or before the 5th day <br />of each month. <br />That the .terms of the ordinance as set out above are fair and <br />equitable and adequately reimburses the county for confining these <br />prisoners. <br />It is therefore, considered, ordered, adjudged and decreed that <br />the Independence County Jail may be used by the City of Batesville, <br />Independence County, Arkansas for the keeping of city prisoners; <br />that the city shall pay to the County Sheriff and/or County Jailor <br />the sum of $1.50 per day for each and .every city prisoner kept; <br />that these bills shall be payable monthly on bills rendered to the <br />city on or before the. -5th day of each month; that the County Sheriff <br />
