ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE CITY CLERK OF BATESVILLE <br />SHALT, BE EX*OFFICIO CLERK OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT OF BATESVILLE, <br />ARKANSAS;PRESCRIBING DUTIES AND FIXING REMUNERATION OF SUCH EX_ <br />OFFICIO CLERK OF SAID MUNICIPAL COURT, AND OTHERWISE IMPLEMENTING <br />THE OPERATION OF SAID COURT; REPEALING ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND FOR OTHER .PURPOSES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BYY'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, <br />ARKANSAS; <br />Section 1. That the duly elected City Clerk of the City of <br />Batesville, Arkansas, be and such -officer is hereby designated and <br />constituted as Ex -Officio Municipal Court Clerk of the Municipal <br />Court of Batesville, Arkansas, and shall perform all duties incident <br />to -such office. As Ex -Officio Clerk of said Court, said officer <br />shall receive an annual salary of Nine Hundred Dollars, payable <br />exclusively out of the fund and "Account" hereinafter set forth. <br />Such officer as City Clerk and Ex -Officio Municipal Court Clerk <br />shall, for each term of said office, execute and provide a bond, <br />conditioned on due and faithful performance of all the duties of <br />said offices and the proper accounting for all funds that may come <br />into his hands, in the sum of Three Thousand Dollarg, with surety <br />thereon a corporate bonding company duly authorized to do business <br />in the State of Arkansas, and said City shall pay the premium on <br />such bond. <br />Section 2. That like Clerk+s fees shall be allowed and taxed <br />as costs by the Municipal Court of Batesville, Arkansas, as are <br />now provided, or may be hereafter provided, by statutes of the <br />State of Arkansas. All such fees and costs shall be remitted and <br />paid over, on or before the fifth day of each month, by said Clerk <br />to the City Treasurer of Batesville, who shall set up a distinct <br />and separate account in which such funds shall be kept to be de- <br />signated as the "Municipal Court Clerk Salary Fund Account." <br />Settlement shall be made by said Clerk, on or before the fifth <br />day of each month, of all fines coming into his hands, payment to <br />be made to respective governmental units entitled thereto under <br />State statutes in such cases made and provided. <br />
