<br />Whereas, the qualified electors of the City of Batesville, Arksmes,
<br />at the City General Election hold on=q-ovember 8, 1960, by an overwhelming
<br />majority approved the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to
<br />said City; and,
<br />li%ereas, the County Court of Independence County, ;`.rIzFmcs, by proper
<br />order .lade and entered on Dece-tuber 19, 1960, s: Dproved and directed anne_;a tion
<br />of said territory, as is evidenced by a copy of such proceedings and plat of
<br />such territory duly certified by the Clerk of said Court and on file with the
<br />Council of said City; therefore,

<br />Section 1. That said territory be and the same is hereby accepted and annexed,
<br />and such is deer:ed and declared to be a pert and parcel of the City of VdalpHO
<br />Batesville, Arkansas, such accepted and annexed territory being particu1Erly
<br />described as follows;
<br />Beginning, it the Southeast corner of Mock 60 of i,:axfield's Third Eastern
<br />t.ddition to the City of Batesville, Ark_:,nsss, as platted in Book TMS -311, page 544,
<br />of the Deed Lecords of Independence County, Arkansas;
<br />Thence 'd';'est along the South line of said clock 60 a distance of 150 feet,more
<br />or less to the forth or'East lire of State 1 . 69; thence Southeasterly along and
<br />with said North or East line 2500 feet, more or less, to the line be-b^leen the East
