ORIDNANCE I10. 715 AN ORDINNICE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXEATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO TM, CITY OF BATE"?VILLE ARKANSAS AND MAKING SAME A PART OF THE CITY OF AATESVILLE, AND ASSIGNING SAME TO WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk "of Independence County, Arkansas, b the residents, inhabitants, and landowners of the hereinafter described territory praying that said territory be annexed to, and made a pert of the `'ity of Batesville and; WHEREAS, on the 15th day of July, 1965, the County Court of Independence County, Arkansas found that the petition was signed by a majority of the inhabitants and landowners in said territory; that said territory was contiguou and adjoining to �he present corporate limits of Batesville, Ark.; that a plat of said territory was filed with said petition; that proper notice had been given in the time and manner prescribed by law; that all other things pertainin thereto had been done according to law and that the territory described in said petition should be annexed to and made a part of the City of Batesville, Ark, subject to acceptance of the same by t'%e City Council of sgid City at the Proper time as provided by law, and; WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said Order of annexation made by the County Court has expired and no appeal has been taken from said Order, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESV.LLE, ARKANSAS: 1. That the following described lands and territory contiguous and ad- joining the City of Batesville, be and the same is hereby accepted as a part of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Batesville, Arkansas: The Southwest 'tuarter of the Northv-est 'luarter of Section 8; The West Part of the Southeast `tuarter of the Northwest '-uarter of Section 8, described thus: Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 8; thence East 921 1/2 links to rock for corner witnessed by D-ack Oak six inches in diameter bearing South 10 1/2 degrees 55 Tinksl thence South 2 degrees West 2035 1/2 links to stake for corner; thence Wes 853 links to Southwest Corner of said 0outheast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter; thence North 20 chains, more or less, tothe Place of Beginning,EXCEPTING from said last tract One Square Acre out of the Northeast Corner conveyed to Green B. Combs by W. C. Williams recorded in Deed Record Book K-2 at Page 355. and also, EXCEPTING out of the last named tract 2 acres conveyed by J.H. Wilson to J.A. Morris, All of said lands being in Township 13 North, Range 6 °Jest, and containing 55 1/2 Acres, more or less.
