Mayor Elumbaugh <br /> also thanked those who raised the funds for the K-9 and also remarked how our <br /> citizens are always eager to help, especially with it comes to our police <br /> department. <br /> B) MR. JEFF OWENS, PARKS DIRECTOR, WITH A COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> FINANCIAL REPORT <br /> Parks Director Jeff Owens addressed the council with a financial report for the <br /> community center. The report, ending August 24th shows 4,010 memberships <br /> with a total of 8,073 individual passes. $918,850.75 in receipts and $718,835.92 <br /> in expenses shows a profit as of now, however, Mr. Owens said these numbers <br /> include the pool receipts which drastically decline from now to the end of the <br /> year. He said he is constantly looking for ways to improve the facilities. For <br /> example, currently Pickle Ball is a huge activity and he and the Mayor went to <br /> Heber Springs to see how they striped a section of the gymnasium floor. <br /> Keeping up with current trends are difficult to do but that is their goal. <br /> C) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />
