MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JULY 9, 2019 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on July 9t", at 5:30 pm at the <br /> Batesville Community Center, Conference Rooms A & B. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh <br /> presided over the meeting. Utility Office Manager Nick Baxter gave the invocation. <br /> Upon roll call, the following Councilmembers answered present; Scott Fredricks, Julie <br /> Hinkle, Paige Hubbard, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, Pete Musgrave and Chris Poole. <br /> Also present were the City Clerk Denise Johnston and City Attorney Tim Meitzen. <br /> Councilmember Tommy Bryant was absent. Mayor Elumbaugh welcomed Mr. Pete <br /> Musgrave as our newest City Councilmember. <br /> Councilmember Fredricks moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. <br /> Councilmember Hinkle seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Hinkle moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended. <br /> Councilmember Fredricks seconded and all voted for. <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) POLICE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT <br /> Police Chief Alan Cockrill addressed the council with his monthly report. Chief <br /> Cockrill reported 35 accidents, 56 incident reports, 8 felony arrests and 25 <br /> misdemeanor arrests for the month of June. He said his department had been <br /> very busy for the Independence Day festivities which included a 5K race with <br /> approximately 200 runners and the fireworks at Riverside Park. <br /> B) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />
