ORDINANCE NO. of <br /> AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2017-03-01 <br /> ESTABLISHING THE ANNUAL SALARIES FOR THE <br /> OFFICES OF MAYOR, CITY CLERK/TREASURER AND CITY <br /> ATTORNEY FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Batesville desires to set forth in ordinance <br /> form the annual salaries for the elected positions of Mayor, City Clerk/Treasurer and City <br /> Attorney. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS THAT SECTIONS 1, 2 AND 3 ARE HEREBY <br /> AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1 —Salary for the Office of Mayor: Effective January 1, 2019 the annual salary <br /> for the Office of Mayor shall be $75,000.00. <br /> SECTION 2 —Salary for the Office of City Clerk/Treasurer: Effective January 1, 2019 the <br /> annual salary for the Office of City Clerk/Treasurer shall be $58,000.00. <br /> SECTION 3—Salary for the Office of City Attorney: Effective January 1, 2019 the annual <br /> salary for the Office of City Attorney shall be $35,000.00. <br /> SECTION 4—SEVERABILITY: Severability is intended throughout and within this <br /> Ordinance. If any provision, including any exception, part, phrase, or term, or the application <br /> thereof to any person or circumstance(s) is held invalid, the application to other persons or <br /> circumstances shall not be affected thereby, and the validity of this ordinance in any and all <br /> respects shall not be affected thereby. <br /> SECTION 5—Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances: All ordinances or parts of other ordinances <br /> in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 6 - EMERGENCY: The City Council has found and determined that it is in the <br /> public interest to set forth these salaries in ordinance form.
