a(013 i i a-R <br /> Department of Arkansas Heritage <br /> Application for Heritage Month Grant Funding <br /> A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF <br /> The City of Batesville <br /> TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE THE UTILIZATION OF STATE FUNDING <br /> WHEREAS Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce has applied for funding through the Department of <br /> Arkansas Heritage to host a festival that focuses on historic foods and foodways within the Batesville <br /> area. <br /> WHEREAS Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Old Independence Regional <br /> Museum, Quapaw Area Council Boy Scouts, University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, <br /> Main Street Batesville, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Market Fresh Farm, Cherokee Farms, Lyon <br /> College and the Independence County Homemakers Extension office. <br /> WHEREAS Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and its affiliates will provide n educational festival <br /> that will promote the well-being and education of the community as well as promote tourism <br /> throughout the community. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City of Batesville THAT: <br /> SECTION I.
