RESOLUTION#q ��O3 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br /> THE CORNER OF MEYERS AND ST. LOUIS STREET IN BATESVILLE <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville desires to expand entertainment, recreation, education, <br /> and economic development activities within the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the IMPACT Independence County Strategic Plan has identified the desire of <br /> the public to further develop Riverside Park, to improve outdoor recreation and leisure space, <br /> resulting in improved quality of life for residents. <br /> WHEREAS, the properties located at 1817 St. Louis, 1845 St. Louis, and 1350 Myers St. are <br /> contiguous with and crucial to the expansion and beautification of Riverside Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City further desires to construct facilities to centralize economic and <br /> community development activities. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS <br /> SECTION 1:That the City of Batesville hereby authorizes the purchase of 1817 St. Louis, <br /> 1845 St. Louis, commonly known as Riverside Gardens, and 1350 Myers Street, Batesville,Arkansas, <br /> for the purchase price of$1,600,000,more or less to from the Stroud Family Property,LLC. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this Yth day of November, 2022. <br /> Rick Elumbaugh, Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> 6'4-n I '-,) )-, c't <br /> enise Johnston, City Cler <br />
