ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING DISTRICTS MAP; AND <br />FOR OTHER PURPOSES. <br />WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission received a request to rezone part of <br />Lot 1 and part of Lot 25 of the Timbers Subdivision; and <br />WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission conducted a properly advertised public <br />hearing on February 6, 2023 to hear opinions about the proposed zoning revision; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission, at its regular meeting on February 6, <br />2023, has determined that the proposed zoning revision is consistent with the Batesville <br />Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and is in the best interest of the future development of the <br />city; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission has recommended that the requested <br />amendment to the Zoning Districts map be approved by the City Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS: <br />Section 1. The Batesville Zoning Districts Map is hereby amended from Single Family <br />Residential (R-1) to Commercial Community District (C-1) for the parcels identified as <br />1104271000 and 1104292000 by the Independence County Assessors Office, the same being <br />Part of Lot 1 and Lot 25, respectively. <br />SECTION 2.
