"A Resolution of the Batesville City Council Concerning Property Tax Millage Rates" <br /> Resolution 2014-{0-0 �— <br /> WHEREAS, the Batesville City Council has passed an Ordinance cal','ng for an election <br /> concerning the annexation of certain lands lying south of White River to be c nsidered by voters on <br /> the November 4, 2014 ballot, and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Batesville establishes property tax millage rates each year in October <br /> in accordance with Arkansas Law, and <br /> WHEREAS,the Batesville City Council desires to make a commitme it to the Citizens of <br /> Batesville concerning future property tax millage rates levied by the City of B tesville if the proposed <br /> annexation is approved by voters and becomes final. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Batesville, Arkansas that: <br /> "If the proposed annexation of certain lands lying south of White River is approved by voters in the <br /> November 4, 2014 General Election and becomes final, the City shall adjust its property tax millage <br /> rate from the current 5.4 mills to 4.4 mills (a reduction of 1.0 mills or approximately 18.51 %) at the <br /> next millage assessment and for the next applicable period." <br /> This RESOLUTION adopted this 14th day of October, 2014. <br /> Mayor Rick Elumbaugh <br /> Attest: <br /> Denise Johnston, City Clerk <br />
