For the month of February, the report shows 839 calls for service, <br /> 42 accidents, 13 arrests and 40 incident reports. Assistant Chief Scarbrough also <br /> reported he has been approved for approximately a $130,000 grant to equip all of <br /> his vehicles with computers, scanners and printers. This should greatly improve <br /> efficiency in his department and should be installed by the end of this month. Also, <br /> 4 new radars have been installed in vehicles. <br /> D) ENGINEERS REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council with his monthly report. Mr. <br /> Johnson reported that Broad is currently being prepared for paving and should be <br /> completed this week. The plans for the new Water Treatment Plant should be <br /> 100% complete by the end of the month and ready for the State regulatory review. <br /> Mr. Johnson reported that all other departments were running well. <br /> E) FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> Fire Chief Mark McCollum addressed the council with his monthly report. Chief <br /> McCollum said his crew is working on the ISO rating for the City as well as hydrant <br /> inspections. <br /> F) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE AGREEMENT WITH WRPDD TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FOR <br /> BATESVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOL CAMPUS <br /> Councilmember Poole introduced a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br /> administrative agreement with White River Planning and Development Distract, Inc. <br /> to apply for a grant for improvements to the childcare facilities on the Batesville <br />
