<br /> <br />MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br />APRIL 9, 2024 <br /> <br />th <br />The Batesville City Council met in regular session on April 9, at 5:30 pm at the <br />Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Utility Office <br />Manager Nick Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following Councilmembers <br />answered present; Brittany Bennett, Scott Fredricks, Julie Hinkle, Paige Hubbard, Doug <br />Matthews, and Chris Poole. Also present were the City Clerk Denise Johnston and City <br />Attorney Tim Meitzen. Councilmember Fred Krug was absent. <br />Councilmember Poole moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. <br />Councilmember Bennett seconded and all voted for. <br />Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br />Councilmember Hubbard seconded and all voted for. <br />CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A) POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />Interim Police Chief John Scarbrough addressed the council with his monthly <br />report. Chief Scarbrough said the March activity report was average for this time <br />of year. The Chief said they were in the process of installing the new computers <br />and printers in their vehicles and are hoping to have them in service soon. He <br />also reported that he was proud of his officers for their willingness to serve and <br />protect our citizens and all the visitors during yesterday’s total solar eclipse. <br /> <br />
