<br />Streetscape. The home owners are asking for “parking pads” on Main Street to help <br />with congestion and safety issues. Mr. Owens said the engineers have given him a <br />thth <br />design for a parking pad between 10 and 11 streets. Mr. Owens said once he gets <br />the cost for the design back, he will bring it to the council for approval/denial. If <br />approved by the council we will then have to get approval from ARDOT which could <br />take two to four weeks. The other topic of discussion was the USPS delivery of <br />packages. The Mayor said once the project is completed there should not be any <br />issues with receiving packages. Mayor Elumbaugh said if anyone is having problems <br />with their mail, please contact USPS. <br /> B) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 201 S. CENTRAL AVENUE <br /> Councilmember Bennett introduced a resolution to authorize the sale of the <br />property located at 201 S. Central Avenue, currently being used as a food lot. Mayor <br />Elumbaugh explained that a business has purchased the property next to the City <br />property and will be needing the property for parking. The business is expected to bring <br />approximately 75 new employees to our downtown which will be great for downtown <br />restaurants and businesses. Councilmember Reeves moved to suspend the rules and <br />read the resolution by title only. Councilmember Bennett seconded and the electronic <br />roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. Mr. Meitzen read the resolution by title only. <br />Councilmember Reeves moved to adopt the resolution and Councilmember Roberts <br />seconded.
