<br /> <br />MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 3, 2024 <br /> <br />rd <br />The Batesville City Council met in special session on October 3, at 12:15 pm at <br />the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Upon roll <br />call, the following Councilmembers answered present; Brittany Bennett, Scott Fredricks, <br />Julie Hinkle, Paige Hubbard, Fred Krug, Chris Poole, Landon Reeves and Robb <br />Roberts. Also present were the City Clerk Denise Johnston and City Attorney Tim <br />Meitzen. <br />Councilmember Reeves moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br />Councilmember Hinkle seconded and all voted for. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />None <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) DISCUSS A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO THE MAIN STREET <br />STREETSCAPE PROJECT <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh gave the council an estimate for adding 2 additional street <br />parking spaces at 1063 E. Main and 843 E. Main Streets. The bid is to demo the <br />current curb, add a new curb with additional heavy-duty concrete and install sleeves for <br />electrical and irrigation. The bid is $11,714.00. The Mayor said there should be around <br />$18,000 left in a contingency account but if not, he has some discretionary funds he can <br />use to pay for the project. The Mayor also said that if approved by the council, the <br />request will then have to be approved by ARDOT which will take a couple of weeks. <br />Councilmember Roberts gave each councilmember arial photos of the four blocks on <br /> <br />
