<br /> <br />MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br />February 14, 2023 <br /> <br />The Batesville City Council met in regular session on February 14, at 5:30 pm at <br />the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Utility Office <br />Manager Nick Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following Councilmembers <br />answered present; Brittany Bennett, Tommy Bryant, Scott Fredricks, Julie Hinkle, Paige <br />Hubbard, Fred Krug, and Doug Matthew. Also present were the Admin Asst. Jennifer <br />Corter and City Attorney Tim Meitzen. Councilmember Chris Poole and City Clerk <br />Denise Johnston were absent. <br /> Councilmember Hubbard moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br />meeting. Councilmember Hinkle seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Hinkle moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended. <br />Councilmember Hubbard seconded and all voted for. <br />CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A) Police Department Report <br />Police Chief Alan Cockrill addressed the council with his monthly department <br />report. Chief Cockrill reported that accidents are down, and his department made <br />9 arrests in January. Chief Cockrill spoke with the representative from Applied <br />Concepts and the new radar signs will be shipped by the end of the month. <br />Someone will then come and do onsite training.
