<br />MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 22, 2021 <br /> <br /> The Batesville City Council met in special session on February 22, at 12:00 <br />pm at the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Upon <br />roll call, the following Councilmembers answered present; Tommy Bryant, Scott Fredricks, <br />Julie Hinkle, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews and Pete Musgrave. Also present were the City <br />Clerk Denise Johnston and City Attorney Tim Meitzen. Councilmembers Paige Hubbard <br />and Chris Poole were absent. <br />Councilmember Hinkle moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br />Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council regarding the bids for the <br />Contract Section III sewer line replacement. Mr. Johnson said he and Olsson Engineering <br />Firm reviewed the 3 bids received and recommend the city accepts the low bid from <br />Rosetta Construction, LLC. in the amount of $16,298,338.00. Mr. Johnson said he hopes <br />the contractors will begin the project will begin within the next few weeks. The project is <br />expected to take approximately 2 years to complete. Councilmember Matthews moved to <br />accept the low bid from Rosetta Construction. Councilmember Fredricks seconded and all <br />voted for. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Fredricks moved to adjourn and <br />Councilmember Matthews seconded.
