D) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />Mayor Elumbaugh said he was calling for an executive session to consider an <br />appointment to the Airport Commission. Councilmember Fredricks moved to go <br />into executive session and Councilmember Poole seconded. All voted for. <br />Upon returning from executive, Councilmember Matthews moved to appoint Mr. <br />Lindsey Castleberry to the Airport Commission. Councilmember Bryant <br />seconded and all voted for. The appointee’s terms will expire 1/8/2024. <br />MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh extended his appreciation to all of our departments that <br />worked so diligent throughout the snow and ice storms recently. Chintan Patel from <br />U.S. Pizza offered to feed employees who were out working in the snow. First <br />Community Bank also stepped in and fed all of our employees a fish lunch. We <br />appreciate these people for looking out for our employees. <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh said that Johnathan Abbott would like to look into purchasing <br />padded chairs and replace the wooden benches in audience area of city hall. There <br />was no objection to this so Mayor Elumbaugh said he would have Mr. Abbott proceed <br />with the purchase. <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh also announced that WRMC would be hosting COVID-19 <br />vaccination clinics at the Community Center on 2 different days this month. Bryant’s <br />Pharmacy will also be giving the COVID-19 vaccinations to all city employees who wish <br />to get them, next week. <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh announced that this is Councilmember Pete Musgrave’s last <br />meeting with us. He will be leaving Batesville and moving to Texas. Mayor Elumbaugh <br />thanked Mr. Musgrave for not only his time served on the council but also for the many <br /> <br />
