<br />MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 26, 2021 <br /> <br />th <br />The Batesville City Council met in special session on October 26 at 5:15 pm at <br />the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Upon roll <br />call, the following Councilmembers answered present; Brittany Bennett, Tommy Bryant, <br />Scott Fredricks, Julie Hinkle, Paige Hubbard, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, and Chris <br />Poole. Also present were the City Clerk Denise Johnston and City Attorney Tim <br />Meitzen. <br />Councilmember Hinkle moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br />Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRING OF AN <br />INDEPENDENCE COUNTY DEPUTY DISTRICT COURT CLERK <br />Councilmember Bryant introduced a resolution to approve the hiring of a deputy <br />clerk at Independence County District Court to replace Ms. Linda Tucker upon her <br />retirement. Councilmember Bryant moved to suspend the rules and read the <br />resolution by title only. Councilmember Fredricks seconded and the roll call count <br />was 8 for and 0 against. Mr. Meitzen read the resolution by title only. After a brief <br />discussion, Councilmember Bryant moved to adopt the resolution and <br />Councilmember Fredricks seconded. The roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. <br />The resolution was given #2021-10-02-R. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />
