RESOLUTION 2025-04-05-R <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, <br /> ARKANSAS TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION <br /> ADMINISTRATION (FAA) ON BEHALF OF THE BATESVILLE REGIONALAIRPORT <br /> COMMISSION. <br /> Whereas,the Batesville Regional Airport is in need of the design of a project(including a <br /> geotechnical study) improving the pavement and supporting layers beneath Runway 8-26, parallel <br /> Taxiway A and Stub Taxiways; and <br /> Whereas,the City Council of the City of Batesville recognizes the need for the project, concurs its <br /> importance, and supports the Batesville Airport Commission in its efforts to proceed with the <br /> same; and <br /> Therefore, be it resolved,that the Mayor of the City of Batesville is hereby authorized to sign the <br /> application for FAA funding; and <br /> Be it further resolved, that the Mayor of the City of Batesville and the City Attorney are hereby <br /> authorized to sign the Grant Agreement with the FAA for purposes of securing grant funds in the <br /> amount of$299,000.00 or less to aid and assist the Batesville Regional Airport Commission in <br /> getting a Geotechnical Study and the design for next year's runway/taxiway infrastructure project. <br /> The Mayor and the Commission Chairman is further authorized to administer the grant funds for <br /> the same project. <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED IN REGULAR SESSION ON THE 22"d of A ril, 2025 <br /> APPROVED: <br /> 4�:�45 i &A A <br /> Rick Elumbau <br /> ATTEST: <br /> "ssicaavis, City Jerk <br />
