City Council Meeting <br /> July N.2025 <br /> Papc 3 of d <br /> suggested looking into implementing a bike rental service similar to what she had <br /> seen in Gulf Shores. Councilmember Moody mentioned the possibility of <br /> property values going up as he has seen in Northwest Arkansas. Another citizen <br /> agreed about it raising property values and offering opportunities for additional <br /> businesses or housing developments due to the trail connectivity. <br /> Councilmember Reeves also agreed and added it would enhance mobility and <br /> land opportunities. <br /> Councilmember Moody introduced the resolution. A motion was made by <br /> Councilmember Hinkle, seconded by Councilmember Reeves to suspend the <br /> rules and read the resolution by title only. The electronic roll call was 6 for,0 <br /> against. Mr. Meitzen read the resolution by title only. A motion was made by <br /> Councilmember Roberts, seconded by Councilmember Bennett to approve the <br /> resolution. The electronic roll call was 6 for,0 against. The resolution was <br /> given# 2025-07-01-R. <br /> E) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> A motion was made by Councilmember Hinkle, seconded by Councilmember <br /> Moody to enter into executive session. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> The council entered executive session at 6:06 p.m. Upon their return at 6:22 p.m., <br /> the mayor called for a motion to approve the updated amount for the police <br /> department's payout in the amount of$187,340.98. A motion was made by <br /> Councilmember Roberts, seconded by Councilmember Moody to approve the <br /> pay amount. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> F) FINANCIAL REPORT <br /> The council was provided a copy of the May financial report. <br /> COMMENTS FROM THE MAYOR <br /> The mayor discussed scheduling the next council meeting for July 22nd. He informed the <br /> council of a fixed asset transfer for a 2011 Chevy Silverado from water construction <br /> department to the public works department. <br /> He also called for a motion to allow employee, Jamae Morgan to drive his employee <br /> vehicle home each day. A motion was made by Councilmember Moody, seconded by <br /> Councilmember Bennett to approve the request.
