ORDINANCE NO <br /> AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-3-1 ADOPTING THE <br /> 2000 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE AND THE 2000 INTERNATIONAL <br /> RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CODE WITHIN THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, <br /> ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, <br /> ARKANSAS: <br /> SECTION 1: In Ordinance 98-3-1, the section listing various codes relating to <br /> inspection activities of the City of Batesville and that part listing the Standard Building <br /> Code, 1997 Edition is hereby changed to the 2000 International Building Code <br /> and the 2000 International Residential Building Code and is adopted by reference <br /> as though it was copied herein fully. <br /> SECTION 2: SEVERABILITY: If any part of this ordinance shall be held void, such <br /> part shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining <br /> parts of this ordinance. <br /> SECTION 3: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: For the purpose of bringing the appropriate <br /> • building codes up-to-date in a timely manner, an emergency is hereby declared to exist <br /> and this ordinance being necessary for the public peace, health and safety shall be in full <br /> force and effect from and after its passage. <br /> ADOPTED THIS V. of August 12, 2003. <br /> APPROVED: <br /> i�4 A <br /> oe M.
