ORDINANCE NO. S 6- 1 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 92-5-2, THE AMBULANCE <br /> FRANCHISE ORDINANCE BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the Ambulance Franchise Ordinance to comply with <br /> requirements of the Arkansas Department of Health. <br /> NOW BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED, as follows: <br /> Page 36 Section 4.20.09 Paramedic Service: No Franchise shall be granted to any person who <br /> does not provide bona fide paramedic service as part of all of its ambulance business, said <br /> paramedic service to be licensed by the Arkansas Department of Health, so that all emergency <br /> care and transportation shall be done so that a licensed paramedic is present, and all non- <br /> emergency care and transportation is tea be provided by either an advanced life support urfit <br /> ambulance with either paramedic or EMT-Intermediate personnel present or a basic life <br /> support ambulance with an EMT-Ambulance present according to patient condition, care <br /> requirements and ambulance vehicle licensure <br /> Page 38 Section 4.20.18 Equipment: Each ambulance operated by the emergency medical <br /> services or ambulance business or operation must be equipped according to the regulations and <br /> requirements of the Arkansas Department of Health .paramedic service vehicle <br /> license requirements for Paramedic, Intermediate, or Basic ambulance as applies <br /> EMERGENCY CLAUSE: This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public <br /> health, safety and convenience, an emergency is hereby declared and said ordinance will be <br /> effective from and after its passage. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this /01-1-day of , 2005. <br /> onorable oe Baird, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Denise M.
