1. Term. A temporary sign shall be allowed for a ninety (90) day period within <br /> any continuous one hundred eighty (180) day period. <br /> 2. Number. Only two (2) temporary signs may be placed by the same business <br /> entity on the same zone lot at any one time. <br /> 3. Other Conditions. A temporary sign shall be allowed only in districts with a <br /> letter"P" for"Temporary Signs" on TABLE ONE and subject to all of the requirements <br /> for temporary signs as noted therein. <br /> 4. No permit is required for a temporary sign. <br /> B. Political Signs <br /> 1. Political signs shall be subject to the following requirements: <br /> 2. Term. A political sign may be placed no more than ninety (90) day period <br /> prior to the date of the election (primary election or general election) and shall be <br /> removed within seven (7) days after the date of the election or any run-off election. <br /> 3. Other Conditions. No political sign shall be placed in the public right-of-way or <br /> attached as a snipe sign as defined within this ordinance. <br /> 4. No permit is required for a temporary sign. <br /> Section 12: Design, Construction and Maintenance. <br /> A. All signs shall be designed, constructed, and maintained in accordance with <br /> applicable provisions of the Uniform Building Code and Electrical Code of the City at <br /> all times. <br /> B. Except for banners, flags, temporary signs, and window signs conforming in <br /> all respects with the requirements of this ordinance, all signs, other than temporary <br /> signs, shall be constructed of permanent materials and shall be permanently attached <br /> to the ground, a building, or another structure by direct attachment to a rigid wall, <br /> frame, or structure. <br /> Section 13: Off-Site Signs (includes, but is not limited to, billboard signs). <br /> A. An off-site sign which was in existence as of the effective date of this <br /> ordinance, or on a later date when the property is annex to the City, and which was <br /> constructed in accordance with the ordinances and other applicable laws in effect on <br /> the date of its construction, but by reason of its location is not in conformance with the <br /> requirements of this ordinance, shall be considered a grandfathered off-site sign <br /> under this ordinance. <br /> B. In addition to the sign area and height maximums set forth in the sections <br /> above, the following provisions apply to all off-site signs: <br /> 1) Allowed only along State or Federal highways; <br /> 2) Located in C-1 and C-2 zones only; <br /> 10 <br />
