RESOLUTION NO.; aft" <br /> �•- BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, INDEPENDENCE <br /> COUNTY, ARKANSAS, A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED: RESOLUTION <br /> REQUESTING PARTY PRIMARIES FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. <br /> SECTION 1: WHEREAS, The City of Batesville recognizes the need for one <br /> desiring to run for municipal office in this municipality in 2002 in a party primary to be <br /> able to do so; <br /> SECTION 2: WHEREAS, The City of Batesville is committed to promote the <br /> welfare and well-being of its citizens regardless of race, religion or political affiliation; <br /> SECTION 3: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the city council <br /> hereby adopts this Resolution enabling candidates in the municipality of Batesville, <br /> Arkansas, in the 2002 elections to aspire to office by filing and running in a party primary <br /> and that this Resolution become effective on the date of passage. <br /> Approved this 1,5 day of ✓ ,e `;2001. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> nk(W <br /> Denise i��1.
