MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> JULY 30, 2014 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in special session on July 30, at 1:00 P.M. at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, <br /> the following councilmembers answered present: Chris Beller, Tommy Bryant, Margarett <br /> Henley, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, and Chris Poole. Also present was City Clerk <br /> Denise Johnston. City Attorney Lindsey Castleberry and Councilmembers Hubbard and <br /> Shetron were absent. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING <br /> DISTRICT <br /> Councilmember Matthews introduced an ordinance to amend the Batesville <br /> Zoning District from R-1 and C-1 to R-2. The property is near Mill Run and <br /> Harrison Streets. Councilmember Matthews moved to suspend the rules and <br /> read the ordinance by title only. Councilmember Beller seconded and the roll call <br /> was 6 for and 0 against. Councilmember Matthews read the ordinance by title <br /> only. Councilmember Matthews moved to further suspend the rules and waive <br /> the second and third readings. Councilmember Bryant seconded and the roll call <br /> count was 6 for and 0 against. Councilmember Bryant moved to adopt the <br /> ordinance and Councilmember Henley seconded. The roll call count was 6 for <br /> and 0 against. The ordinance was given #2014-07-02. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br />
