Resolution No. <br /> • A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW 1992 <br /> WASTEWATER PRETREATMENT PROGRAM FOR THE PUBLICLY-OWNED <br /> TREATMENT WORKS (POTW) OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has the duty and desire to <br /> protect the public health, safety and welfare; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has the authority to implement <br /> uniform requirements for dischargers into the POTW in accordance <br /> with all applicable State and Federal laws relating thereto; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville determines the need to prevent <br /> the introduction of pollutants into the POTW which will interfere <br /> with the operation and maintenance of the POTW; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville determines the need to prevent <br /> the introduction of pollutants into the POTW which will pass <br /> through the POTW, inadequately treated into receiving waters or the <br /> atmosphere or otherwise be incompatible with the POTW; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville desires to improve the <br /> opportunity to treat the wastewaters from the POTW; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville desires to provide for <br /> equitable distribution among users of the cost of the Publicly- <br /> Owned Pretreatment Works; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Batesville <br /> endorses the implementation of the new 1992 Wastewater Pretreatment <br /> Program in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws <br /> required by the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (FWPCA, P.L. <br /> 92-500 ) , as amended by the Clean Water Act of 1977 , P.L. 95-217 , <br /> and the General Pretreatment Regulations (40 CFR, Part 403) . <br /> l <br /> Dated this 1 day of ,, r , , 1993, by the <br /> Batesville City Council by the foll wing voi e vote: <br /> Ayes ( Nays <br /> ames F.
