NO 93-2-1 <br /> BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS <br /> TO SEND A DRAFT COPY OF THE PROPOSED LOCAL COOPERATION <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CORPS AND THE CITY OF BATESVILLE <br /> TO THE WASHINGTON OFFICE OF THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS <br /> FOR APPROVAL, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville desires to participate with the Corps <br /> of Engineers in the construction of a levee and associated structures for the <br /> purpose of flood control along the White River; and <br /> WHEREAS, THE City of Batesville has preliminarily approved a draft copy <br /> of a Local Cooperation Agreement between the City and the Corps of Engineers <br /> for the construction of said levee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has asked that the proposed agreement <br /> be forwarded to the Washington Office of the Corps of Engineers for its approval; <br /> now <br /> BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Batesville, <br /> Arkansas that the City preliminarily approves the draft copy of the Local Cooperation <br /> Agreement between the City and the Corps of Engineers and requests that the <br /> agreement be forwarded to the Washington Office of the Corps pf Engineers <br /> for approval at that level. <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF we have set our hands and seals this 9th day of February, <br /> 1993. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> r� <br /> im Barnett, Mayor <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> Denise Johnston,/Clerk <br /> • <br />
