Council for their support in their historic action of creating our own Police <br /> Department. <br /> B) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AND APPROVE A LEASE <br /> PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH BANCORPSOUTH BANK <br /> Councilmember Matthews introduced a resolution to authorize and approve the <br /> execution of an equipment lease-purchase agreement with BancorpSouth <br /> Equipment Finance for two residential rear load sanitation trucks. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to suspend the rules and read the resolution by <br /> title only. Councilmember Bryant seconded and the electronic roll call count was <br /> 7 for and 0 against. Mr. Meitzen read the resolution by title only. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to adopt the resolution and Councilmember <br /> Bryant seconded. The electronic roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. The <br /> resolution was given #2015-12-02-R. <br /> C) DISCUSS THE 2016 PROPOSED BUDGET <br /> The council was given a copy of the proposed 2016 Budget. The Mayor went <br /> over a few highlights of the budget and asked the council to take the budget <br /> home with them to go through it thoroughly and be ready to adopt it at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> COMMENTS FROM THE MAYOR <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh said the Clerk and Administrative Assistant will both be out of <br /> town for the next scheduled council meeting on January 12th. He asked for the meeting <br /> to be changed to the first Tuesday in January, the 5th. Councilmember Bryant so moved <br /> and Councilmember Henley seconded. All voted for. <br />
