B) RECOGONIZE MR. DAVY INSELL FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE AS A <br /> COUNCILMEMEBER <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh recognized Mr. Davy Insell for his years of service on the <br /> Batesville City Council. Mr. Insell was appointed July 8, 2008 and served until <br /> February 11, 2014 at which time he moved outside his ward. <br /> C) FIRE CHIEF BRENT GLEGHORN WITH A 2013 YEAR END REPORT AND <br /> PRESENTATION OF SOP'S FOR COUNCIL REVIEW <br /> Fire Chief Brent Gleghorn came before the Council with his year-end report for <br /> 2013. He gave a brief rundown of the amount of calls for the past year and <br /> answered Council questions. Chief Gleghorn also presented each <br /> Councilmember with a flash drive containing a 200 page SOP (Standard <br /> Operating Procedures) document. He informed the Council that this would be a <br /> working document and would be changed as needed. He asked the Council to <br /> review the SOP's and he would like to present an ordinance at the first meeting <br /> in June to adopt the document as the Fire Department SOP. Mayor Elumbaugh <br /> asked for out of state travel for Chief Gleghorn, Asst. Chief Ronnie Painter and 2 <br /> Captains to travel to FDIC in Indiana. He noted that this is in the budget. <br /> Councilmember Matthews made a motion to approve the travel. Councilmember <br /> Beller seconded and all voted in favor. <br /> D) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING CODE <br /> Council Member Bryant introduced the ordinance. Code Enforcement Officer <br /> Chad McClure came forward to answer questions about the ordinance. He said <br /> the ordinance is the result of at least two years of working to clarify some of the <br />
