The proclamation encourages excavators and <br /> homeowners throughout the country to always call 811 before digging. <br /> E) PROCLAMATION HONORING NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION MONTH <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh read a proclamation proclaiming May, 2016 as National <br /> Preservation Month and Arkansas Heritage Month and called upon the people of <br /> Batesville to join their fellow citizens across the United States in recognizing and <br /> participating in this special observance. <br /> F) PROCLAMATION HONORING GOODWILL INDUSTRIES WEEK <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh read a proclamation proclaiming May 1 through May 7, 2016 as <br /> Goodwill Industries Week, in and for Batesville, and urged all citizens to give support <br /> to Goodwill Industries in recognition of its ability to maximize an individual's <br /> contribution to self, family and community. <br /> G) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPLY FOR A <br /> GRANT ON BEHALF OF THE OLD INDEPENDENCE REGIONAL MUSEUM <br /> Councilmember Beller introduced a resolution authorizing the Mayor to apply for a <br /> grant on behalf of the Old Independence Regional Museum. The GIF Community <br /> Enhancement Grant of$78,610.00 will be used to replace the roof on the museum. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to suspend the rules and read the resolution by title <br /> only.
