MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> APRIL 23, 2013 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on April 23, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Elumbaugh called the meeting to order. Utility Office Manager <br /> Nick Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following council answered present; <br /> Tommy Bryant, Margarett Henley, Paige Hubbard, Davy Insell, Fred Krug, Douglas <br /> Matthews, Chris Poole, and David Shetron. Also present were the City Clerk Denise <br /> Johnston and the City Attorney Lindsey Castleberry. <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. <br /> Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br /> Matthew seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) CHIEF DEPUTY ALAN COCKRILL REGARDING METRO VEHICLE ACCIDENT <br /> Chief Deputy Alan Cockrill addressed the council and informed them that Metro Unit <br /> #553, a 2013 Dodge Charger, was involved in an accident. Officer Anthony Carter <br /> was driving to work and hit a deer. Chief Cockrill said at first inspection, he thought <br /> the vehicle could be repaired for around $9,000.00. However, when the Municipal <br /> League adjuster came he said the frame was bent and totaled the vehicle. The <br /> vehicle less all the equipment was $23,323.00. The Chief said Stanley Wood <br /> happens to have the exact same vehicle in stock that they ordered for Cedar Ridge <br />
