The council was given copies of the February and March, 2013 financials for review.
MAYOR COMMENTS
Mayor Elumbaugh asked Parks Director Jeff Owens to address and update the
council on projects in the Parks Department. Mr. Owens first thanked all the department
heads in the City for their help in various aspects throughout the Parks Department. He
said the new construction projects would not be on schedule if not for all the help he has
received. Mr. Owens updated the council on the all the projects in the parks and said the
recent "Movies In The Park" was a great success.
LIAISON REPORTS
Councilmember Matthews said the "dirt" project at the Airport was almost complete
and came in under budget.
COUNCIL COMMENTS
Councilmember Shetron asked Mr. Castleberry if he had heard anything about the
burned out house on college Street. Mr. Castleberry said he contacted the attorney for the
homeowners and expressed the council's concern over the property. He said it is still his
position that the City should not get involved as long as there is pending litigation.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Councilmember Matthews moved that the meeting
be adjourned. Councilmember Bryant seconded and all voted for.
RICK ELUMBAUGH, MAYOR
DENISE M. JOHNSTON, CITY CLERK
