N+ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MAYOR OF BATESVILLE <br /> TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION <br /> TO THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT <br /> OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR <br /> A CHILD CARE CENTER PROJECT. <br /> WHEREAS, Batesville is applying to the State of Arkansas for an Arkansas Community <br /> and Economic Development grant to construct a child care center to be operated by the Batesville <br /> School District; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain conditions be met as part of the application <br /> requirements; and <br /> WHEREAS, Batesville has conducted the required public hearing as part of the <br /> • application process to receive and consider comments on community development and housing <br /> needs, and proposed activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, as a result of the first public hearing, Batesville has identified and prioritized <br /> the community development and housing needs; <br /> THEREFORE, be it resolved that Mayor Joe M. Biard is authorized to submit an <br /> application to the State of Arkansas on behalf of Batesville to expend funds for the construction <br /> of the child care center, if the grant is awarded. <br /> ENTERED this 0/L/4 day of September, 1999. <br /> Mayor <br /> LINtoo <br /> City Clerk <br />
