MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> SEPTEMBER 27, 2011 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on September 27, at 5:30 PM <br /> at the Municipal Building. Mayor Elumbaugh called the meeting to order. <br /> Councilmember Insell gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following council <br /> answered present; Tommy Bryant, Margarett Henley, Paige Hubbard, Davy Insell, <br /> Douglas Matthews, Chris Poole, and David Shetron. Also present were the Deputy City <br /> Clerk and the City Attorney. Councilmember Fred Krug was absent. <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Insell seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the agenda. Councilmember <br /> Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) CONSIDER CONTRACT FOR BUILDING OF NEW CONCESSION STAND AT <br /> NORTH COMPLEX <br /> The Mayor told the Council that bids had been opened September 13, 2011. Low <br /> bidder was Whitaker Builders, Inc. in the amount of$207,911.00. The Mayor asked <br /> Parks Director Jeff Owens to address the Council. Mr. Owens told the Council that <br /> the City will be receiving additional insurance monies and he also had hopes of <br /> private sponsorships that would help offset the expense of building the new <br />
