MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> JUNE 21, 2011 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in special session on June 21, at 5:15 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Elumbaugh called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the <br /> following council answered present; Tommy Bryant, Margarett Henley, Paige Hubbard, <br /> Davy Insell, Fred Krug, Douglas Matthews, Chris Poole, and David Shetron. Also <br /> present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> A) CONSIDER ALLOWING JACK KREPPS TO PLACE THE MARY WOOD NO. 2 <br /> AT KENNEDY PARK <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh opened the discussion saying he was concerned with parking <br /> at Kennedy Park. He said he drove the park Sunday and the parking lot was <br /> completely full with vehicles and boat trailers. He said he didn't think the park <br /> would allow for any additional parking. He also added that the Parks <br /> Commission had discussed building several RV pads in the same proximity. <br /> Councilmember Matthews said he had a list of concerns. He first said he thought <br /> the request should go through the Parks Commission to make sure it would be a <br /> part of their long range plan for the City's parks. He said the City needed at least <br /> a 10% bond and Mr. Krepps needed to produce a site plan, Engineering studies <br /> and proof of liability insurance for before, during and after the project. He said <br /> since the proposed site is next to the boat ramp built by the Game and Fish <br /> Commission, their approval may be needed and well as approval from the Corp <br /> of Engineers and possible environmental studies.
