MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> MARCH 22, 2011 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on March 22, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Elumbaugh called the meeting to order. Councilmember <br /> Poole gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following council answered present; <br /> Tommy Bryant, Margarett Henley, Paige Hubbard, Davy Insell, Fred Krug, Douglas <br /> Matthews, and Chris Poole. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember David Shetron was absent. <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Henley seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended. <br /> Councilmember Matthews seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) REPORT FROM SHERIFF STEVE JEFFERY <br /> Sheriff Steve Jeffery addressed the council with his monthly report. The Sheriff <br /> gave the council a monthly activity and status report for their review. Sheriff Jeffery <br /> informed the council that Citizens Bank was leasing the front portion of their branch <br /> bank in West Batesville to the Sheriff's Department for $1.00 per year. The Sheriff said <br /> the bank was not only furnishing the facility but also furnishing the utilities and internet <br /> services. He said the new "sub-station" would be primarily used by the Metro Division <br /> of the Sheriff's Department. The location will allow citizens in the West-side area a <br /> place to file reports and a better since of security. The Sheriff said the only expense he <br /> was going to have is computers, which have already been ordered, office furniture and <br />
