AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING DISTRICTS MAP; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, an application was submitted to the Batesville Planning Commission for the
purposed of requesting an amendment to Zoning Districts Map for the below referenced property; and,
WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission has conducted a properly advertised public
hearing on July 7,2014;and,
WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission has reviewed the relationship of this property
with the Comprehensive Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission has recommended that the requested
amendment to the Zoning Districts map be approved by the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS THAT THE BATESVILLE ZONING DISTRICTS MAP IS
HEREBY AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
From Single Family Residential (R-1) and Commercial Community (C-1) to General Family
Residential(R-2);
A tract of land being part of Section 14, Township 13 North, Range 6 West, in the City of
Batesville, Independence County,Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 14; thence N
00°15'48" E, along the north line of the Big Pine Addition to the City of Batesville, a distance of
54.02;thence N 69°52'27"W along said north line a distance of 505.29'to the northwest corner of
Lot 28 of said Big Pine Addition; thence N20°07'33"E along the east line of the Bill Davis tract a
distance of 100.00'; thence N 71'37'40"W, along the north line of the Bill Davis tract a distance
of 799.45' to the west line of said Bill Davis tract; thence S O1°41'08"W, along the west line of
said Bill Davis tract, a distance of 920.07' to the point of beginning; thence continue
SOI°41'08"W, a distance of 206.05; thence N88°18'52"W, a distance of 197.57; thence
N50°15'19"W, a distance of 242.78; thence N19°24'47"E, a distance of 81.74; thence
N0503013111E a distance of 108.82; thence N88°18'52"W a distance of 38.76; thence
N3800611011E a distance of 130.02; thence S51053'50"E a distance of 395.35' to the point of
beginning.
IF ANY PORTION OR PORTIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE ARE DEEMED OR HELD
TO BE INVALID, SUCH INVALIDITY SHALL NOT AFFECT THE REMAINING PORTION
OR PORTIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
IT IS SO ORDAINED.
