A RESOLUTION IMPLIMENTING SECTION 51 . 55 OF THE REVENUE SHARING
REGULATIONS , REAFFIRMING THE CITY OF BATESVILLE 'S POLICY OF
NON-DISCRIMINATION IN PERSONNEL MATTERS , DIRECTING THAT PLANS
AND POLICIES IN ALL OTHER AREAS BE ADOPTED, APPOINTING A PROGRAM
COORDINATOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE ,
ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 : That public notice be made to the public , applicants
and employees that the City of Batesville has a policy against
handicapped discrimination; that said notice be publicized by
means of publication, posted notice and by radio; that said
notice be incorporated into and made a part of the Batesville
Personnel policy and given to each employee or other person
receiving a copy of said policy; that the public shall also be
notified of any changes made by the City of Batesville improving
access to programs and activities in implimenting Section 51 . 55
of Revenue Sharing Regulations .

Section 2 : That TY�- ` ,. � - �c is hereby
appointed as the coordinator fot implimentirtvsaid Revenue Sharing
Regulations and he shall take all steps necessary to that end.
Section 3: That said appointee shall :
(a) Evaluate programs and activities , policies and
practices to determine areas of noncompliance with
the Revenue Sharing Regulations and submit said plan
to the Batesville City Council within one year from
this date.
(b) To advise the Batesville City Council of non-
structural changes which must be made to achieve
compliance with said regulations .
(c) Determine areas where structural changes will
be needed and prepare a transition plan which will
describe how the changes will be made over a period
not to exceed three years and present said plan to
the Batesville City Council within 90 days.
(d) Prepare a grievance procedure to provide for
prompt and equitable resolution of complaints
alleging handicapped discrimination and present
said grievance procedure to the Batesville City
Council within 90 days.
(e) Maintain a file of his activities, including
plans and procedures prepared and keep them open
for public inspection.
Section 4: That the Citv Council of the Citv of Batesville,
Arkansas reaffirms the City' s policy of non-discrimination based
upon a handicapped status and reaffirms its continuing policy
to improve access to its facilities , programs and activities
by the handicapped.
