SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 3, 2007
The Batesville City Council met in special session on December 3, at 5:15 PM at the
Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Upon roll call the
following councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews,
Matt McDonald, David Shetron, Stephen Smart and Paula Terrell. The City Clerk was also
present. Councilmember Trula Pectol and the City Attorney Scott Stalker were absent.
NEW BUSINESS
"EXECUTIVE SESSION
Councilmember Shetron moved to go into executive session. Councilmember Smart
seconded. All voted for.
No action was taken after returning from executive session.
"CONSIDER EMPLOYEE INCENTIVES
Councilmember Terrell moved to give employee pay incentives in the amount of
$250.00 for full time employees who have been employed for at least 6 months and $125.00
for part-time employees and those who have been employed for less that 6 months.
Councilmember Matthews seconded and all voted for.
Councilmember Terrell then moved that due to the abolishment of the Utilities
Commission and the additional responsibilities given to the City Clerk, to give the Clerk,
Denise Johnston a one time pay incentive in the amount of$2,500.00. Councilmember
Krug seconded and all voted for.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Councilmember Matthews moved that the meeting
be adjourned. Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for.
