JANUARY 10, 2006
The Batesville City Council met in regular session on January 10, at 5:30
PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting.
Councilmember Mynatt gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following
councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, John Cooke, Fred Krug,
Doug Matthews, Dana Mynatt, Stephen Smart and Paula Terrell. Also present
were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. Councilmember Pectol was absent.
Councilmember Smart moved to approve the minutes from the previous
two meetings and Councilmember Carpenter seconded. All voted for.
Councilmember Krug moved to approve the prepared agenda.
Councilmember Terrell seconded and all voted for.
RESOLUTION REGARDING PERMIT AND INSPECTION FEES
Councilmember Terrell introduced a resolution that will adopt new permit
and inspections fees. Mayor Biard read the resolution and then pointed out the
changes made from the previous resolution #2005-11-2-R. Councilmember
Matthews moved to adopt the resolution and Councilmember Smart seconded.
All voted for. The resolution was given #2006-1-1-R.
STATE OF THE CITY
Mayor Biard, as required by law, gave the State of City address.
MAYOR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Biard asked for approval to pay for damages that our leaf machine
made to a yard sign. Ms. Julie Wu turned in receipts of$14.99 to repair the sign.
Councilmember Smart moved to pay for the repairs and Councilmember Cooke
seconded. All voted for.
COUNCIL COMMENT
Councilmember Mynatt passed out a sample council agenda she would
like the city to consider. The City Clerk said she would have it in ordinance form
to consider at the next meeting.
There being no further business, Councilmember Matthews moved that
the meeting be adjourned. Councilmember Terrell seconded and all voted for.
