WHEREAS ,
ZWHEREAS , the Department of Housing and Urban Development is
authorized to make Urban Development Action Grants to small cities
under Section 119 of the Housing and Community Development Act of
1974, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has been determined eligible
in accordance with elibibility requirements to apply for the Urban
Development Action Grant program; and
WHEREAS, the city has conducted the necessary public hearings
requesting citizen participation; and
WHEREAS, the city has established economic development goals
to expand employment opportun . '.ies and to attract new businesses/
industries which maintain a stable , year-round skilled work force;
THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Batesville,
Arkansas , that the Mayor is authorized to file an application with the
Department of Housing and Urban Development for an Urhan Development
Action Grant on behalf of Aero-Fab, and to represent the city in all
matters related to the Urban Development Action Grant Program.
