IN THE MATTER OF SUPPORT
OF FAIR HOUSING LAWS BY
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE
WHEREAS, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 provides
for Fair Housing throughout the United States; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville will support the Fair Housing
laws by means of dispersing Fair Housing literature and posters
throughout the Community and notifying the various housing entities
in the area of the city's support; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville recognizes the need for a
local contact person to provide personalized Fair Housing information.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the city council of the City
of Batesville supports the Fair Housing Laws and appoints the City
Clerk as the Fair Housing/Equal Opportunity Officer for the city.
