RESOLUTION # g5 -I
WHEREAS , the Honorable Boyce Nash departed this life on December
25, 1984 ; and,
WHEREAS , that at the time of his death Boyce Nash had completed
a life and career filled with civic service and helpfulness to
his fellow man- and
WHEREAS , Boyce Nash was a lifel'ona resident of the City of Bates-
ville; and
WHEREAS , Boyce Nash had served the citizens of the City of Bates-
ville for sixteen (16) vea.rs as their councilman and for four (4)
years as their Vice Mayor; and
WHEREAS, Boyce Nash was both a leader and friend of his constit-
uents; and,
WHEREAS , Boyce Nash served the City of Batesville during a time
of rapid growth and helped provide the necessary leadership which )
was required and helped develop, maintain and channel that growth;)
and,

WHEREAS , Boyce Nash was a friend and promoter of youth and. Pro-
grams for the youth; and,
WHEREAS , Boyce Nash was active and involved in Scouting and in
this community' s schools; and,
WHEREAS, Boyce Push brought dignity, respect and honor to those
endeavors with which hie was involved_ and to any organization with )
which he was associated; he was curteous , polite , giving and al-
ways t,elpful and this , along with a supportive and loving fa-mily, �
;.produced a host of friends and supporters from all walks of life. I
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BATESVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 : That the Citi- Council of the City of Batesville, Ark-
ansas on behalf of the people of the City of Batesville , Arkansas
recognizes the unique and longlasting contributions of active
service that Boyce +Nash has given to this community.
Section 2: That it is hereby resolved and ordered that this
resolution be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas and entered upon the records of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas forever.
