RESOLUTION NO.
I
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS
OF THE CITY OF Batesville TO PARTICIPA E IN THE
CITY BRIDGE LOAD POSTING PROGRAM i
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville understands Federal-Aid Bridge
Replacement and Rehabilitation funds are available for posting structures that
are restricted by weight; and
WHEREAS, it is understood that such bridge posting is mandated by Federal
regulations to insure public safety;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY Council OF THE CITY OF
Batesville ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION I: The City of Batesville will participate in accordance
with its designated responsibility in this project.
SECTION II: The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
Mayor/City Manager
execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to properly erect the
signs at bridges eligible for participation under this program.
SECTION III: The City of Batesville pledges its full support and
hererby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to
initiate action to implement this program.
THIS RESOLUTION adopted this 13th day of August 194x•
