THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
A:f _ KDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE MOBLEY LUMBER COMPANY, LTD
PARTNERSHIP FROM K-1 (RESIDENTIAL) TO C-2 (COMMERCIAL.
(1) The following city property be and the same hereby is rezoned from K-1 Residential to C-2
Commercial; said property presently owned by The Mobley Lumber Company, Ltd. Partnership and
said owners were the petitioners for said zoning classification change.
(2)The property is described thus:
A tract of land being a part of the NE1/4 of Section 14, T 13 N. K 6 W in the City of
Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
commencing at the northwest corner of the 5E1/4, NE1/4 of Said Section 14;
thence N 00015'18" E along the north line of the Big Pine Addition to said City of
Batesville, 54.02';
thence N 69152'27" W along said north line, 505.29 feet to the northwest corner of
lot 28 of said Big Pine Adan.
thence S 20107'33" W along the west line of said Big Pine Adan., 470.0 feet to the
southwest corner of Lot 29 of said Big Pine Addn.
thence S 69152'27" W along the south line of said Lot 29, 78.36 feet;
thence S 01141'08" W, 460.94 feet to the point of beginning;
thence S 63123'15" E, 766.62 feet;
thence S 18°34'20" W, 223.3 feet to the north ROW line of Harrison St.;
thence N 71154'19" W, 657.74 feet to the southeast corner of the Bill Davis tract;
thence N 01041'08" E along the east line of said Bill Davis tract, 351.04 feet to the
gof beginning,
ainino 4.49 acres, more or less, subject to any and all easements.
(3) The present owners have determined that the property is more appropriate for commercial
use, and that said rezoning would be in keeping with the prevailing development of the area.
Therefore, be it ordained that the property in item 1 be rezoned C-2 Commercial from K-1
Residential; that this ordinance should be published for one insertion in a newspaper of general
circulation in Batesville, Arkansas.
